Winner: German Game of the Year 2004
'Ticket to Ride'
is a cross-country train adventure where players collect cards of various
types of train cars that enable them to claim railway routes connecting
cities throughout North America. The objective: to see which of you can
travel by rail to the most cities in North America - in just 7 days.
Designed by reknowned
games designer Alan R. Moon, 'Ticket to Ride' has already won the
German 'Game of the Year' award - the most coveted prize in the games
industry. With elegantly simple game play, 'Ticket to Ride' can be
learned in a few minutes, while providing players with intense strategic and
tactical decisions every turn.
Players use cards to
claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more
points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination
Tickets – goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who
builds the longest continuous route.
