'Formula 1' is generally regarded as
one of Waddington's finest games. This is the first edition introduced
in the early 1962, which is now very rare.
The game is an intriguing mix of strategy
and luck. Unusually for a game from this period, dice play no part in the
game, except for deciding penalties if you corner too fast. To win you must
plan ahead, think about your racing line, and cornering speeds, tyres and
fuel all have to be taken into account. You must plan your pit stops to
minimise any lost time, and crucially you must decide when to use your
'Tactic Cards' to the best effect.
This copy that we currently have in stock
(pictured below) is complete and is in good 'played with'
condition. The contents of the game are complete.
