In Chronology there are 480 cards, each recalling an
event and the appropriate date. The events cover history, sports, arts and
entertainment, inventions and discoveries.
The secret of this clever sounding
game is that you don't have to be a genius to win. All you have to do is to
get ten events in the right order.
Probably most of us know that Leonardo da Vinci
painted the Mona Lisa before the year of the first bungee jump, but see how
you get on with our example.
The player has correctly guessed that Monet died
before men wore shorts at Wimbledon and so asks for a third card to be
drawn. The question now is where does the invention of air conditioning fit
into the timeline? Get this right and the player then has the option to call
for a fourth card, or 'stick' and protect the cards he already has.
The first player to get 10 Event Cards in a row is the
winner but remember, the more cards you have, the more difficult it is to
guess the correct sequence of events!
