Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit #2 is a stand alone game that introduces new 'Guns' rules to the Advanced Squad Leader Infantry rules. (Starter Kit #1 is not required to play this game). It includes squads, half squads, crews, leaders, support weapons, guns, terrain and simplified rules. The Starter Kit allows new players to become familiar with the basics of the Advanced Squad Leader system using entry-level scenarios, counters, maps and rules.

The eight scenarios included cover action from Greece 1940 to the 'Battle of the Bulge'. They are instantly playable by anyone familiar with ASL, but some of the rules have been simplified in order to make these scenarios easy and quick to play for both novice and experienced players.
