Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit #1 is a complete game that introduces the player to the Advanced Squad Leader Infantry rules. It includes squads, half squads, leaders, support weapons, terrain and simplified rules. The Starter Kit allows new players to become familiar with the basics of the Advanced Squad Leader system using entry-level scenarios, counters, maps and rules.

The six scenarios included cover action from the streets of Stalingrad to the fields of Normandy. They are instantly playable by anyone familiar with ASL, but some of the rules have been simplified in order to make these scenarios easy and quick to play for both novice and experienced players.
